Recognition and Encouragement of Charity

At Audio-Video Group, we love being a part of the community we serve, and we believe that giving back is important. This month, we’d like to acknowledge the charitable contributions of one of our own as a representation of what AVG stands for.

Eric Johnson, founder and president of Audio-Video Group, was honored this year with the Paul Harris Major Donor Award from the Carroll Creek Rotary Club. This award is the result of Eric’s generous gift to the Club’s funds this year. He is also a Paul Harris Society Member, which means that he has maintained his generosity by giving over a period of years.

Eric’s gifts are passed through the Carroll Creek Rotary Club to Rotary International and used to further charitable causes across the globe. For the past fifty years, Rotary International has led the charge to eradicate the disease of polio, and in 2016 this goal is extremely close to being accomplished. Thanks to the efforts of Rotary International, polio cases have been reduced by 99 percent and more than 2 billion children in 122 countries have been immunized against the disease. The organization is hopeful that 2016 will be the year in which polio is finally eradicated.

In addition to eliminating polio, Rotary donations go towards fighting malaria in Mali, training teachers in South Africa, and assisting a variety of other deserving causes around the world. If you’re interested in learning more about how Rotary funds are used, visit their website for a comprehensive account.

We’re proud of Eric for embodying the generous spirit that we value so highly, and we’d like to offer our sincere congratulations from everyone at AVG for the recognition he merited with his charitable contributions.

As a company, we seek to follow Eric’s example. That’s why, throughout this past year, we’ve been involved with local organizations as a way to help those around us. In 2015, we’ve been honored to give our time and resources to worthy causes like the South Carolina flood victims, the Frederick Rescue Mission, the Heartly House, the Frederick Food Bank, Frederick Memorial Hospital, and the local Boys & Girls Club.

The ability to give is a gift, and we’re grateful for the people who have made our service possible. As we move into 2016, we’re excited to see how Eric, and all of us at AVG, can continue to serve those around us.

Let AVG serve your AV needs this year. Contact us online or give us a call at 301.668.4448 to get started.
